CNC bending up to a maximum dimension of 7000 mm is done in-house at Hoekman RVS! We love the idea of becoming part of your final product with large sheet-metal parts that we bend for you to order. This already starts with our XL fibre laser cutting process, with a processable sheet size of 6000mm x 2000mm. We are the specialist in creating smart stainless-steel sheet-metal solutions for your end product, available as one-offs, or small and medium series. Whether all you need is large pressed parts, or a fully welded and assembled product, we'll make it for you!

CNC bending of large sheet parts – how do we do that?

Metal bending (also known as pressing) is a widely used technique in sheet-metal working. By pressing the tool into the die with great force, we bend the laser-cut sheet-metal parts into your desired end product. With two press brakes set up in parallel, we will press up to a length of 7000 mm. The production of stainless-steel semi-finished products and profiles is our speciality, but we also process long aluminium parts. We aim to create a high-quality and affordable semi-finished product with as fast a turnaround time and as little processing as possible. That’s why we automate our production processes and continually make them more efficient. The press brakes are already programmed offline, so that the right program can be retrieved at the press brake when it's your product's turn.

By cleverly engineering directly from sheet metal, the freedom of form can be exploited to the maximum. Being involved with you, your end product and its application from the very beginning enables us to work towards the most ideal manufacturing process. This results in an end product that still meets all requirements despite needing fewer actions per part! The use of open, long profiles in the food industry, for example, reduces the risk of dirt accumulation, as the surface remains easily accessible for cleaning. This reduces hygiene risks. Because we control production automatically, we can handle short delivery times. Turnaround times are specifically reduced significantly when your quotation request or order is equipped with 3D STEP files. Also we can easily initiate a new series run of semi-finished products that we have made for you previously.

First time right!

During offline programming, we immediately check the product for producibility. If your product is not producible as drawn, we will discover this at an early stage. This prevents stagnation and extra material and cutting costs during the production process. Thanks to the advanced angle-measuring system of our machines, we measure the angle of the bend already during pressing and correct it immediately where necessary. This ensures that the output is right first time, resulting in a top-grade product!

Short lead times!

We programme our brake presses offline. As soon as it's your product's turn, the programme is already ready on the screen of the press brake. Because the machine can be put to work immediately, this reduces handling times at the press brake, leading to shorter lead times.

Fewer operations as well as less material

Bending of long profiles gives a huge range of possibilities. Longer profiles can be custom produced in one piece to your specification. This provides more design freedom than when using pipes and tubes in commercially available lengths. By engineering from sheet metal, you achieve the right end product with fewer welding operations. Because we customize profiles directly, we also create less residual waste, which saves material!
