Finishing, surface treatment & aftertreatment

Ensuring that a product no longer has any sharp edges? Or extend the life of the sheet-metal part? The type of finishing we have to carry out for you is closely related to the application of your final product. A sheet-metal part that is exposed to extreme conditions, chemicals or seawater requires a different aftertreatment than a profile in a ventilation shaft. The condition of the material, the construction and the shape are also factors that count. Giving the right metal finish helps to ensure that the semi-finished product meets your expectations. As part of a total product, we offer various finishing treatments.

Deburring

When there are sharp edges left on the product after laser cutting, our automatic deburring machines strip these sharp edges from the products. We cut using advanced machines equipped with the latest techniques, based on both fibre and CO2, so our cutting is done with minimal burring. However, burring may still form on a product, especially in thicker sheet material. For that reason, we offer as part of our service various machine deburring techniques.

Barrel tumblers

Deburring barrel tumblers are ideal for small particles, with vibration and small stones rounding off the sharp edges.

Pickling / Passivation

Has the oxide film been damaged? Then we repair it by pickling and passivation, so that the oxide film becomes passive once again.

Grinding

Grinding is an operation in which we treat the surface of the material with granules. This creates an aesthetically pleasing smooth and shiny effect.

Polishing

Has the material surface already been ground? Then we make the surface even smoother and shinier by polishing the metal or stainless steel. This also increases corrosion resistance.

Bead blasting | in-house

To remove weld discolouration and make the material more resistant to rust, we blast the product in our special blasting cabinet with small glass beads. This completely seals the surface of the material.

Powder coating

Powder coating gives the product a great finish and a longer life. We work together with renowned partners for this purpose, so we will also arrange this final finishing for you if you wish.

Anodizing

This surface treatment on an aluminium surface provides your product with extra hardness and wear resistance. In cooperation with various specialized companies we will anodize your aluminium sheet parts as per your requirements.
