Weld assemblies
Welding assemblies from sheet metal – that's our speciality! With our production techniques, our knowledge and our people, we create custom welded assemblies. Mainly in stainless steel, as stainless steel holds no secrets for us. But we are also at home in machining and assembling aluminium.
Fabricating welded assemblies – how do we do it?
Whether it's one-offs, or small or medium-sized series, we love making our welded assemblies part of your final product! We carry out the entire machining process in-house, from sheet-metal laser cutting to composite end product. Using various welding techniques, we manufacture various compositions in stainless steel and aluminium:
- Machine frames / support frames
- Machine parts
- Chassis and brackets
- Protective covers
- Platforms and protective screens for platforms
- Gratings
- Conveyor belts
- Weighing and sorting systems
- Drip trays, cooler trays and fluid drums
- Boxes and panels (e.g. for electrics and pneumatics)
- Sheet parts for cooling and heating equipment
- Body parts
- Lift systems

From advice to welded assembly
Fabricating welded assemblies starts with some great advice from our sales department. The Hoekman RVS sales team is technically well versed and knows how to get to the root of your issue. Going to outsource the contract to our specialists? Then our engineers and work planners process all the information in the ERP system, the heart of our organisation. They check the producibility of your product at an early stage, so that we don't come across any irregularities during production. They then look at how your product can best be created from the sheet-metal concept. With close cooperation and an efficient way of working, we keep lead times short.
Producing from sheet metal or from pipes and tubes?
‘First time right’ production is easier from sheet metal than with pipe and tube. The pipe and tube cutting process is less automated and therefore more laborious and expensive. A good sheet-metal machine means you achieve a higher dimensional stability, you can cut marks and notches at the same time in the required locations and you use the maximum freedom of shape of the sheet metal. All this ensures that you create a simple building kit of which the parts only fit together in one way. The engineering takes a little more time, but this pays dividends in production. Sawing pipes and tubes to size is an alternative, but it is more expensive and the result is not easy to predict.
Our machinery with welding department
A permanent team of welders and a large welding production hall!
We have a welding production hall of over 1,000 m2 and a permanent team of specialised welders. In this production hall you will find modern machines controlled by advanced software. We are constantly looking for improvements and innovations in automation, production processes and machining to further optimize the traditional manufacturing process. The experience and knowledge of new techniques are a nice combination to this end in our production team. With this space and employees we have the possibility to take on medium-sized and large jobs.
Stainless steel, but also aluminium constructions!
We believe in the power of smart stainless-steel sheet-metal solutions, and possess the necessary production processes and materials knowledge in-house. It provides a specialism in fabricating stainless-steel parts that are essential to making your end product successful. We also supply aluminium welded assemblies. Due to the risk of contamination of steel particles on stainless-steel sheet metal, we do not process steel in our welding shop.
The applications for which we fabricate welded assemblies
A solution for every problem!
Customisation is our trump card, because we are constantly looking for improvements and innovations in technology, automation, production processes and machining. In this way, we convert every sheet-metal part to the semi-finished product that you as a customer require. We do this for various markets and industries:
- Packaging industry
- Food industry
- Machine and equipment construction
- Medical and pharmaceutical industry
- Assembly and installation technology
- Oil, gas and chemical industry
- Transport and automotive
- and mechanisation technology
- Construction and infrastructure technology
The benefits of our welded assemblies
All operations in-house!
The great advantage of welding sheet-metal assemblies at Hoekman RVS is that we have the complete fabrication process in-house. This starts with laser cutting, rolling and sheet metal bending. We cut and press profiles and sheet-metal parts in-house up to six meters in length. This gives us the freedom to make larger constructions and frames from a single part, where we weld all parts to the desired composition. The total length of welds is reduced by making full use of the freedom of form of sheet metal. Smart welding engineering means that you also save on production costs, time and materials.
Short lead times
Thanks to an efficient and advanced automated work process, we keep our lead times short. That means we deliver quickly, so that your process continues without disruption. And is especially true when the contract includes 3D STEP files or semi-finished products that we have fabricated for you previously.
Advice as added value!
You know your end product and your market through and through. We have the knowledge and resources for an optimal manufacturing process of the stainless-steel semi-finished products that are essential for this. We prefer to bring the best of both worlds together as early as the engineering phase. By being involved with you and your project as early as possible, we’d love to partner with you about how best to realise the finest end product together. A small modification can already save a lot of money. In terms of not only the number of operations, but also time or material consumption.
